UNIgreen Day at SGGW
Four years have passed since SGGW joined the UNIgreen Alliance. It has been a period of intensive cooperation, joint research projects, student and staff mobility, new study programmes, and the strengthening of lasting relationships among partner universities.
However, UNIgreen is more than a formal structure. It is a community of students, researchers and administrative staff who together create a European educational space based on the values of sustainable development.
As emphasized by the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation at SGGW, Prof. Marta Mendel:
“A green university is not only a research direction. It is a way of thinking about education, cooperation and relationships – grounded in responsibility for the environment and for future generations.”
For SGGW, these four years have meant strengthened internationalisation, the development of team competences, and tangible engagement in shaping the model of a European university of the future.
Dr hab. Karol Chrobak adds:
“UNIgreen demonstrates that European cooperation goes beyond declarations. It is the everyday work of teams, the exchange of experience, and the joint development of solutions that have a real impact on the social and economic environment.”
Four years are behind us. Ahead lie new shared challenges – and the continued building of a green, responsible European academic community.
