The First Scientific Mission within the UNIgreen Alliance

UNIgreen JRC4 Scientific Mission - 2025-09-12a

From 8 to 12 September 2025, the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) hosted the first scientific mission under the UNIgreen – The Green European University alliance, entitled “Ecosystem Services in Functional Connectivity.” The event brought together eight researchers from partner universities within the alliance.

Scientific missions are initiatives implemented by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the UNIgreen alliance. Their purpose is to foster the professional development of researchers, promote scientific excellence, and stimulate the generation of new ideas through international knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The scientific mission “Ecosystem Services in Functional Connectivity” was funded under the project coordinated by the Warsaw University of Life Sciences titled “UNIgreen Skills – Mobility Training Program” (BPI/WUE/2024/1/00014/U/00001). The initiative is carried out as part of the “Support for European Universities” programme of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), financed by the European Union under the project “Support for European Universities Alliances” (FERS.01.05-IP.08-0219/23).

Over the course of the project, a total of eight scientific missions are planned to be implemented across the UNIgreen alliance.
