UNIgreen Innovation Challenge – submit your project
The UNIgreen Innovation Challenge is now open – a competition aimed at students and graduates of universities belonging to the UNIgreen Alliance, which aims to support innovative projects in the field of the green transition.
About the competition
UNIgreen is an alliance of eight European universities that work together to advance education, research and innovation in the fields of sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, and environmental and life sciences.
The UNIgreen Innovation Challenge offers students and graduates the opportunity to develop their own ideas, test new solutions and collaborate within an international academic environment.
Thematic scope of the competition
Projects related to the following areas, amongst others, may be submitted to the competition:
- biochemistry and biotechnology
- sustainable crop production
- food technology, food quality and safety
- biodiversity, forestry and agroecology
- the One Health concept
- the bioeconomy, agricultural policy and rural development
- plant breeding
- environmental management and climate change
Timetable
📅 by 16 March – competition announcement
📅 by 9 April – submission of entries
📅 by 15 April – selection of the 5 best projects by the jury
📅 by 8 May – project mentoring
📅 18 May – competition final and selection of the two best projects
